Thats a very good insight into FB. I recently had a slapped wrist from a FB user for spamming as I had my FB linked to Twitter and someone had managed to hack my Twitter account and posted loads of spam.

I totally agree the Social Media thing is only good for Branding oneself through normal conversation – the ADs and Groups in my mind are a waste of time

I’ve recently joined Facebook, I’ve not really started to do much networking yet, I’ve just been building my friends up.

In guess I better start paying an interest in the people that I find interesting, the sooner the better, right?

Solid post as always and good content.

I know a guy in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne (beautiful city )who does this kind of stuff for a living and markets on facebook all the time, particularly using the paid advertising models. He swears by it and loves it.

However, I hear of those struggling with this a lot. People seem to be really fighting to make it work.

I dis-like facebook intensely, and this is for a number of reasons. In particular the way they love to try and claim rights to all content uploaded to their sites. Those guys are douchebags.

I don’t know why I don’t visit your site more often, it looks like you’re talking about some great topics and getting a bunch of people involved.

This guest post is great, it just solidifies what we have learned from Alex Jeffreys about growing a relationship before attempting to sell them anything. This is a great reminder for anyone in our course, but could be an eye-opener for many!
